Special Renewals

We've had a very good response to the letters sent in June asking everyone to renew. Thank you to the many who have done so. The letters also go to people who had skipped a year of membership, and I would like to extend a special thank you to those who have rejoined this year:

Lenore & Louis Alfano
Gail Drouin
Michael & Pamela Goldstein
Jacqueline Hinkston
David Kmiotek

Sharon Markenson
Iris & Elliott Pucker
Phil & Carol Stein
Marlene Varnen
Thomas Waldman
Leo & Joyce Zaslov

Quite a few people decided to increase the amount of their membership donation this year, which we appreciate very much. Among those, Lucina & Ali Safai and Lin Schonberger upgraded to Sustaining, and Freya Maneki, Rita & Marvin March, F. P. & Joanna Skocilich, and Irene Sloan became Life members. They will have their names on bookplates put in special books added to the collection this year.

Pending Renewals

Some of you will find a red RENEW NOW stamped near your address and a return envelope folded into this issue. YOU FORGOT TO RENEW. This is your very last chance to keep from missing an issue of the newsletter and notice of special book sales. If you do not want to cut your printed newsletter, use the membership form below. Fill it out, print it, enclose your check, and mail it. So easy and convenient!

You can also use the web site to contact me and other Board members by e-mail. Click on my name below or click here for a listing.

Be a Friend!

Memberships in the Friends of the Platt Library are win-win relationships. Besides providing additional funding for our library, they also give opportunities for new friendships, socializing, and volunteering—as well as community recognition for your support of a worthy cause. If that's not enough incentive, you also get a printed copy of this newsletter in the mail…what an excellent investment!

To become a member, give a membership as a gift, or renew your existing membership, just fill out the form below and click the ‘PRINT’ button. Write a check payable to Friends of the Platt Library and send it along with the printed form to:

Friends of the Platt Library
23600 Victory Boulevard
Woodland Hills, CA 91367

...or bring them to the library in person. Thank you!
