Membership News

E-mails from the president ~ Sometimes we put the Newsletter aside after it arrives and forget that we intended to go to an event listed on the calendar page. Sometimes our Bookstore Manager, Shel Schuster, decides to have a last-minute sale that was not announced in the Newsletter. To cover both of these cases, our President, Sharon Schuster, has decided to send brief e-mails, reminding you of library events during the month and telling you when a special sale will be held. (See President's Message and Re: Book Sales & E-mails.) However, only about 25% of our members have given us their e-mail address. We would like to be able to reach all of you quickly. Please include your e-mail address on your renewal form. We will not share it with anyone and will use it only about once a month for the purposes I've outlined. After you've received one or two notices, if you don't want to get more, you can simply e-mail Sharon, asking to be removed from the list.

Please Stay With Us ~ Renew Now

Thank you to those of you who have already renewed your membership for the coming year. You have saved us the effort and cost of mailing you a special renewal letter.  The rest of you, please follow their example and renew soon.

You can fill out and print the form below or stop in at the Bookstore to fill out a form and give it with your check to the volunteer on duty. All memberships will expire at the end of June, except Life and some Businesses and those listed above who just joined. To keep getting this great newsletter you must renew. We need and appreciate every one of you. You might also consider renewing at the next higher level.

Be a Friend!

Memberships in the Friends of the Platt Library are win-win relationships. Besides providing additional funding for our library, they also give opportunities for new friendships, socializing, and volunteering—as well as community recognition for your support of a worthy cause. If that's not enough incentive, you also get a printed copy of this newsletter in the mail…what an excellent investment!

To become a member, give a membership as a gift, or renew your existing membership, just fill out the form below and click the ‘PRINT’ button. Write a check payable to Friends of the Platt Library and send it along with the printed form to:

Friends of the Platt Library
23600 Victory Boulevard
Woodland Hills, CA 91367

...or bring them to the library in person. Thank you!
