We currently send newsletters to 508 loyal Friends of Platt Library…whew, that's a bunch! Many more members have joined since our last newsletter.

2004 memberships expire June 30. Many thanks to those who have already sent in their renewals, and especially to members who generously decided to upgrade this year's membership to a higher level. New members joining after March 1 are already paid through the 2005 membership year.
Those of you who have memberships expiring at the end of June will find a return envelope inside this newsletter for your convenience in renewing. We encourage you to use the form at the bottom of this page (your name and address are already shown on the mailing label on the reverse). Simply send it, along with your check, in the envelope provided. It couldn't be easier. You will save many dedicated volunteers the time and effort of folding and sending renewal letters over the summer. In addition, you help us save significant stationery and postage costs.
And P.S. There are two other things to consider before you seal the envelope. Would you like to upgrade your membership this year? Have you checked with your employer to see if the company has a matching funds program for donations? Your contributions become ever more important in these years of declining city budgets.
Memberships in the Friends of the Platt Library are win-win relationships. Besides providing additional funding for our library, they also give opportunities for new friendships, socializing, and volunteering—as well as community recognition for your support of a worthy cause. If that's not enough incentive, you also get a printed copy of this newsletter in the mail…what an excellent investment!
