A Warm Welcome to new member Guy Vandenbroucke.
A happy New Year to each of you. Our membership continues to grow, but we always welcome more. A good way to start 2004 is to suggest to your neighbors and business colleagues that they consider joining you in support of Platt Branch Library by becoming a Friends member. And as a current member, you might want to consider upgrading to the next level. The library is a valuable community resource and deserves the backing of those it serves so well.
Lynn Light, Senior Librarian, has already advised us that the city budget is being cut, so you can be assured that the funds derived from your membership are definitely needed and will be put to good use in these times of sparse funding.
We show our appreciation for our Life and Sustaining members by dedicating a special book to each of them annually. Once a year, we also like to honor them with a listing of their names in the newsletter.
Memberships in the Friends of the Platt Library are win-win relationships. Besides providing additional funding for our library, they also give opportunities for new friendships, socializing, and volunteering—as well as community recognition for your support of a worthy cause. If that's not enough incentive, you also get a printed copy of this newsletter in the mail…what an excellent investment!
To become a member, give a membership as a gift, or renew your existing membership, just fill out the form below and click the ‘PRINT’ button. Write a check payable to Friends of the Platt Library and send it along with the printed form to:

...or bring them to the library in person. Thank you!
In Appreciation of Our Life & Sustaining Members
“Thank you for your continued support” doesn't begin to express our deep appreciation for the moral, financial, and (in so many cases) hands-on assistance these individuals have lavished on Platt Library and Friends of The Platt Library over the years. Friends of The Platt Library Board | |||
