 Summer Fun for Kids 

 		 

"Wild About Reading"

A summer reading club for preschool and school age children.
Sign-ups start in July, and the program will run for ten weeks. Members who read 2000 minutes by December will earn a family pass to the L. A. Zoo.

L.A. Kids Read Program Kick-Off

On June 30, Platt Branch will be providing a bus to take families to the annual "L.A. Kids Read" Festival at the Central Library. For further details, contact Vicki Migliori or Nancy Brennan.

New Library Programs

Wednesday, July 18, is the first of our new Children's Book Discussion Groups. This program offers 4th and 5th grade students a chance to explore books by popular authors. Scheduled Wednesdays (see Calendar of Events) at 3:30 PM., with free refreshments provided.

Also call for information about our Family Storytime with special book characters once a month. This program is made possible through the courtesy of Barnes & Noble, Calabasas.

And don't forget our daily GAB reading program!
