Good news, everyone! The Children's Holiday Boutique, scheduled for December 1, is now officially underway. Last March, a committee of volunteers met at my home to make gift items. Andrea Zeller,

a friend of mine who volunteered her expertise and supplies to help the Friends, led the group. Chatting, working, and sharing some food were Corresponding Secretary Millie Berger, President Sharon Schuster, Volunteer Coordinator Harriet Strauss, your 1^st VP (me), and of course, my friend, Andrea. We achieved our goal: assembling two complete projects. To thank Ms. Zeller for her help, the Friends voted to give a book in her name to Platt's collection.

Now we're lining up more projects. Millie needs everyone who can sew or crochet. Most projects need people who can glue beads and tie bows. All who can contribute some time to a very worthwhile event, please call me so that I can make sure you're included in our next sessions.

Note on Getty Villa Excursion: Planning has hit a couple of snags. I can't set a firm date yet. However, if you're interested in attending, let me know now. I'm keeping a pre-registration list. As soon as I can accept reservations, I'll contact you first.

Funds can be contributed for general library use, or you can specify that your gift be used for purchasing any quantity of one or more of the items listed below.
