Membership News

I am back again as Membership Vice President after three years, during which Millie Berger did an excellent job of keeping up with all of you. She has turned everything over to me in beautiful shape, and I will do my best to keep it that way.

RENEWALS ARE OVERDUE

A big thank you to the many people who have already renewed their memberships. If you are not one of those, you probably received your personal renewal notice not long ago. I hope you have already sent it in, but if not, please do so right away. You can either use the form that came with the notice or the one below. Please consider upgrading your membership to the next level. Warning: You will not get the next newsletter highlighting all the library programs and Friends events if you do not renew before it goes in the mail. You will also miss some members-only discounts. There is no Bookstore Discount Coupon in this issue, due to the special Back-In-School One-day Used Book Sale on September 16, but there will be in the next. So re-join now, or you will miss out on fabulous bargains.

Life Members

Dale E. Litzsinger joined as a Life member, and long-time members Sue and John Strickland upgraded to Life this year.  Thank you very much.

If you joined recently and received this newsletter in the mail, but your name is not listed above, don't worry. You will be listed in the winter issue. We appreciate each one of you and your dedication to our library.

Be a Friend!

Memberships in the Friends of the Platt Library are win-win relationships. Besides providing additional funding for our library, they also give opportunities for new friendships, socializing, and volunteering—as well as community recognition for your support of a worthy cause. If that's not enough incentive, you also get a printed copy of this newsletter in the mail…what an excellent investment!

To become a member, give a membership as a gift, or renew your existing membership, just fill out the form below and click the ‘PRINT’ button. Write a check payable to Friends of the Platt Library and send it along with the printed form to:

Friends of the Platt Library
23600 Victory Boulevard
Woodland Hills, CA 91367

...or bring them to the library in person. Thank you!
