Happy 2006! May each of you enjoy a new year filled with happiness and serenity. We are at the halfway point in our membership year; still we continue to grow each month. This brings our total membership to 426, making the Friends of Platt Library one of the largest Friends groups in the Los Angeles Public Library system. Your consistent support in membership, along with so many generous financial contributions and incredible amounts of volunteer time, is exceptional. The members of the Friends Board stand in awe of your generosity and offer you our heartfelt thanks.
Memberships in the Friends of the Platt Library are win-win relationships. Besides providing additional funding for our library, they also give opportunities for new friendships, socializing, and volunteering—as well as community recognition for your support of a worthy cause.
