A Spring Welcome…Congratulations to these wonderful new members. They picked an auspicious time to enjoy the benefit of attending pre-sales since the next one (April 15) is on the eve of Platt Branch's fabulous 10th Birthday Celebration. Welcome aboard to all of you!
And speaking of spring…it reminds us that before long, renewal letters will be going out to all members. As always, the term of membership will extend July 1 of each year to June 30 of the following year.
Last year many of you were early birds and renewed prior to receiving a letter. Your early renewal saved the Friends a considerable amount of time and expense by reducing the actual number of letters that had to be sent out. We will be more than appreciative again this year if you can send your renewal early. With a membership as large as we have (nearly 500), it becomes a sizable task to do the annual mailing. And, as usual, the Friends prefer to minimize administrative expenses and have funds used directly to benefit Platt Branch.
I'm looking forward to seeing you at the birthday celebration on April 16, and yes, I'll also take early renewals while you enjoy the cake and festivities.
Millie Berger, Membership VP
Memberships in the Friends of the Platt Library are win-win relationships. Besides providing additional funding for our library, they also give opportunities for new friendships, socializing, and volunteering—as well as community recognition for your support of a worthy cause. If that's not enough incentive, you also get a printed copy of this newsletter in the mail…what an excellent investment!
To become a member, give a membership as a gift, or renew your existing membership, just fill out the form below and click the ‘PRINT’ button. Write a check payable to Friends of the Platt Library and send it along with the printed form to:

...or bring them to the library in person. Thank you!
In Appreciation of Our Life & Sustaining Members
Our deepest appreciation to these members for the financial, and often, volunteer help they have offered in such abundance to both Platt Branch and Friends of Platt Library over these past 10 years. Mere words cannot express our gratitude.
