Membership News

GROWTH IS A GOOD THING

Over the last few months we have worked to increase our membership. The response has been most gratifying.

First, I would like to extend our appreciation to Rob & Kathy Cromar and to Dick & Hermalee Schmidt for upgrading their memberships to Life and to welcome new Life Member, Patricia Peterson. Friends of Platt are proud to have a total of 68 Life Members. We are pleased to be able to dedicate a book annually to the library in their names.

Also join me in welcoming this wonderful roster of new individuals who have joined the ranks of Friends. As an added bonus, some of these individuals have already signed up as volunteers. Remember the old advertising slogan, “Double the pleasure, double the fun?” Well, we are truly doubly blessed this time around.

MEMBERSHIP YEAR

Every year about this time we have conscientious members who start thinking about keeping their membership active, and they dutifully send in a check during December or January for the coming year. We love them for their caring and dedication. However, we don't want to add to the budget stretching that taxes and shopping cause at year-end. It's hard to remember that our membership year runs from June of one year through June of the following year. So, all you active members concentrate on the delightful holidays ahead and relax. Your membership won't be due again until July 1 of next year. Now when was the last time you were told you didn't have a bill?

Be a Friend!

Memberships in the Friends of the Platt Library are win-win relationships. Besides providing additional funding for our library, they also give opportunities for new friendships, socializing, and volunteering—as well as community recognition for your support of a worthy cause. If that's not enough incentive, you also get a printed copy of this newsletter in the mail…what an excellent investment!

To become a member, give a membership as a gift, or renew your existing membership, just fill out the form below and click the ‘PRINT’ button. Write a check payable to Friends of the Platt Library and send it along with the printed form to:

Friends of the Platt Library
23600 Victory Boulevard
Woodland Hills, CA 91367

...or bring them to the library in person. Thank you!
